Re: Questions about a new head unit

What parts would I need in order to get the Bose speakers to work properly with an aftermarket head unit.

Just ditch the Bose amp. It's easy to remove and not worth the effort to try and integrate. You can run the existing speakers off a normal aftermarket amp just as well as you can with the Bose.

I removed the Bose amp, installed a Ven4 line converter, and for starters, just put a normal Crossfire 100x4 amp in its place. I connected the rear deck and rear door speakers in parallell. When I turned it on, everything worked and sounded almost exactly the same as it did before (that's a good thing, it means all the levels and such are balanced right). I then inserted an EQ and subs, and the existing speakers now sound wonderful in comparison. I'll eventually upgrade the components in the doors.
