There are several how to articles on this site and you can find info on Mike's mount as well. PM MIKE (MIKE3348) on My 350Z, and check out

For info on the invisicord.
Save your $14. Just find a spare black telephone cable and cut the wire to fit your need. It's very easy, just tap it to your homelink wires. I used Mike's mount and love it.

Everybody has there opinions on radar detectors. It is like Infiniti vs/ Lexus. A lot of the differences come down to personal preference, all of the units have pros and cons. Historically Passport, and Valentine have been the best, and now Bell has stepped up as well. Do a Google search for Radar Detectors, there are several good sites that have performed independent testing on most of the top line models. I looked at all three (passport, Bell, and Valentine) based on the test results, I narrowed it to Bell, and Passport, and ended up going Bell due to saving over 100 bucks.

^^^ very true. If you pick a Passport, Bell or V1, you will have good protection. Those three are so close to each other in performance, it just comes down to a personal preference... and price.

Do you know which wires for the Beltronics are the + and -, green or red?

Yes, the V1 is the best at detecting radar and laser.

Look for "Mike's Mount" here or on My350Z.com. It attaches to the mirror extension. Makes a neat mount for just about any detector.

RadarKing, is that you?

Not taking anything away from the V1, it always places in the top two if now an outright win, but I wouldn't believe anything from a non-independent, commercial website (LaserVeil).

I don't understand the point of laser detection. All the cops here use them and when they pull that trigger and light you up....its too late. Can someone explain?

When I'm out of town and the cops use non laser...it helps cause it detects the cops clocking cars waaay ahead.

It's a useless addition to a radar detector that is used to sell it to the "unwashed".

Laser detector gives you the opportunity to know you just got busted.

Do yourself a favor and buy one of the power cords that replaces the cord that came from your radar detector.

I purchased mine from www.stealthcords.com/shop. Highly recommended!

Shipped quick and VERY easy to install.

Honestly, I don't know how I lasted with that coiled cord stretching across my dash for so many years.

I think I'm going to get one of those mounts next...that is pretty slick.

Thats what I figured. Since all the cops in Socal are using laser now, it's pointless for me to have a radar detector.
