WoofersEtc.com Any Good?

I've seen these guys mentioned on some other posts. Wondering if anyone has any first hand experience with these guys?

I've emailed them a couple days ago about warranty support and wether they were authorized dealers for JL and MB Quart. So far I'm waiting for an answer.

Can't say their prices are the best, but they seem to have a very wide selection and if they have good customer support and are reliable (i.e. no cheaped out made in china fakes), then I was going to make a purchase of some equipment.

Also how are their shipping charges? Reasonable or rip off? Didn't feel like putting in my CC # to find that out.

Thanks,

Shibal G-Thang

Re: WoofersEtc.com Any Good?

I just ordered a set of MB Quarts from them. It was pretty close to UPS delivery cut-off time, but the guy I spoke to (made a phone order) promised he'd try to get it shipped that day. It turns out that he did get it shipped and was pretty nice about the whole transaction. I got the equipment today, and while it could've been packed a little better - everything seems in good condition. I'll let you know if anything doesn't work because I'm installing them tomorrow.

Thanks... I would really be interested to hear how it turns out... I'm currently interviewing some install shops to see where I can get them professionally installed. Look forward to your report.

BTW, which MB Quarts did u get?

I was looking at the QSD216 up front and the QSD164 for midbass fill-in in the rear.

Re: WoofersEtc.com Any Good?

I got PCE 216 up front and PCE 164 for midbass. The QSD were a bit too rich for my blood - even with the lower internet prices.

Today is the install day! I'll post the results tonight hopefully.

Admonisher,

Wondering if you got those MB's installed. I ordered my QSD216. I'm gonna have them professionally installed. I've decided to forgo the rear midbass since it's a coupe and I don't want to worry about cross interference and timing issues with the rear fills. So I'll just have the QSDs up front and a sub.

Regards,
