Security Indicator Light?

The security indicator light on my 07 6mt coupe starts to blink even after turning the ignition off.

I thought the only time it was suppose to blink is when it is activated using the key fob.

The security light does not blink when I start the car though.

I have 1400 miles on my coupe now and I don't remember the red light flashing when I turned the ignition off, only when I activated it.(when I first bought it).

I don't believe this is normal for the red light to flash after turning the ignition off.

Any input would be appreciated.

TIA

Yes that is normal. Well at least my 2006 coupe and 2003 sedan did the same thing. I think mine stays solid for a few minutes once i turn the ignition off then flashes a few minutes later.

i think it's just a little peace of mind and a deterrent in case you forget to set it. someone walks by and thinks the alarm must be on when in reality, it's flashes "on" all the time.
