I bought mine on eBay. At the time, the QSD's had just come out, so I got my brand new QM's for a little over $300. The funny thing, is that I couldn't find any "last year's model" for the coaxials (the PCE's), for my rear doors, so I ended up spending a little more for them than the QMs, also on eBay.

While I have another pair of MB's for the rear doors, and a pair of JL amps; this was the first step.
Results?
The job was longer than I thought it would be, but basically pretty easy. First door took me about 4 hours, the second door about half that. I enjoy this type of work, so I took my time, and had fun.
The sound difference is a fantastic improvement, even with the Blose amp. The difference in clarity is quite dramatic. The total cost so far was about $400, and worth every penny. Read on if you want to see more.

question...
great install, nice job! got a question for ya though. sayin' as to used mb quart q's and the 8w7, i suppose you're more of an sq guy than spl. so my question is this, how do you like the bass response of the 8w7? with it being way out in the trunk, does the bass have the impact that it should in the front? thanks for the help!
