Anyone get a hold of the NAV TUNER CROOK
Re: Anyone get a hold of the NAV TUNER CROOK
Here's the thing about this situation. As far as paypal is concerned, you all received a tangible good from this seller. Therefore, they have no reason to reimburse you since there is a product in your hands.
Whether or not the product was as described is not of their concern. They will only give you your money back if the product was not sent out. If this guy was able to provide tracking numbers for each item sent out, then paypal will consider that legitimate and they will not help you out. That's unfortunate, but from a business standpoint, it is totally understandable considering their position in the grand scheme of things.
The only way for you guys to get money back is to file with your credit card companies. If you used a direct transfer via paypal, then chances are you are out of luck. You could try talking to your bank, but that probably wont help. Im sure a lot of ou guys already knew all of this, but i figured i would post my thoughts anyway.
Good luck to all those involved. I have been ripped off for over a grand in a previous transaction, so i feel your pain...
The sad thing is this guy will probably not feel any effect from this other than a few pissed off people for the simple fact that this is such an isolated incident that local authorities will not make it an immediate priority. I've been there, so i know the feeling, but in any case, stick with it and hopefully there will be something positive from this whole ordeal.

Just likeg35audioman said...I, too, have walked the beaten path...beaten out of 800 bucks on ebay..I was sent a totally different product and it was used and broken also thrown ina box with a small piece..just a lil piece of styrofoam...I mean it just had "sucker" written all over it..oh well. Yeah I tried everything from emails and threateming the man's life but he's a lowlife with no life so...thats my story. I didnt get apenny back...I dont believe you guys will either but if the pressure stays steady from you guys collectively then you may get something...

Re: Anyone get a hold of the NAV TUNER CROOK
Just so people know there is hope, when i got scammed out of $1200, everyone else that was scammed by this guy got together and filed a police complaint with the department in this scammer's city. He was eventually arrested and sentenced to pay the $10,000+ back, but since he was only 19, he was not given a time by which to pay.
To make a long story short, i have received one check in the last 3 years for the amount of $150. I got screwed out of $1200. Its going to take a while before i get it all back, but THERE IS POWER IN NUMBERS! Stick with it together. File paperwork together, call together, and eventually, you will see justice served. Dont give up.

Re: Anyone get a hold of the NAV TUNER CROOK
This Situation just sucks.
Anyways… Please inform me of any group initiative. Getting this dealt with is turning into a complete disaster. I attempted to deal with this civilly using squaretrade.com but my efforts seem futile.
I agree as well that we probably have force in multiple numbers.
Please PM with any individual or group details/progress.

some parts of my letter to master card

Basically I brought a product from ebay. The product is advertised as an Avelectronics unit. when I received the unit I had several problems with the purchase. (A) the product is not made by Avelectronics. (B) its not a Navigation tuner. What a navigation tuner is supposed to do is plug into a cars stock navigation screen and allow for other video sources to play "DVD play station stuff like that," this unit will not work on a stock navigation unit. It need an RBG converter "cost $250" so the product is useless for my application. (C) if the seller was to send me a RBG converter out of the goodness of his heart it still wont be "PLUG IN AND PLAY" the universal RBG converter is able to work on my car but it requires the cutting of 4 wires. The reason this is important is to not void the warranty from INFINITI and an installation shop would charge $150 more in labor. I've made several attempts to contact the sell he had written on the page "30 day return policy with a valid reason" I personally think all of these factors are valid reasons.
Also the product took extremely long to arrive to my house and with the box I received an invoice from the twister group. when i went to the web site and typed in the model number i found the product there. so what this guy did is got my money and then used my money to order the product from a different website
I also contacted the Avelectronics office to notify them of the misuses of there name and was informed that they are aware of this individual and have there lawyers looking into this situation
attached pages are
(A)1 the receipt from the twister group
(B)1,2,3,4 the actual pages from ebay where the seller advertised it as an "Avelectronics unit" , "navigation tuner" and "30 day return policy with a valid reason “and date item was won
(C)1,2,3,4 the web pages from the actual Avelectronics and there contact information
(D)1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 in chronological order. email attempt to resolve this situation. me asking for retune information and my valid reasons
(E)1 A letter from an installation shop stating that the unit is not a stand alone navigation tuner and that the price for a universal unit versus a plug in and play would cost more money to install
Thanks for all the help hope to get my money back soon

Re: Anyone get a hold of the NAV TUNER CROOK
Anyone have any luck on getting a refund ?? Or gotten any resolution to this problem. I tried going through square trade but that was a waste of time, it hasnt gotten me anything
Re: Anyone get a hold of the NAV TUNER CROOK
Yup its not gona do [censored]. So what I started to do is email all the people who have bid on his units and also forwarded it to Avelectronics . "they loved that info" and now IM trying to mess up his scam. Well, as far as my money goes I mailed my letter and facts to the credit card company so its gona take 4 days to get there.
we need to keep updating everyone on our progress so we can approach the most productive method of getting our money back

Re: Anyone get a hold of the NAV TUNER CROOK
BIGAPPLEVIP, keep up the good work. I'm waiting for the dispute form to arrive. This is some major BS and to know a forum member is behind all this is even more BS.

Re: Anyone get a hold of the NAV TUNER CROOK
i told him not to mess with me. all he had to do is just give me back my money. but nooo. now he's probably gona get sued by Avelectronics and with all these units he's selling he could be getting himself in real deep sh$t. oh well. stupidity should be painful
