Speaker Upgrade advice on a 2K6 G35 Coupe sought

Going to a pro audio shop to get a quote on speaker installation on my coupe. I have a set of Boston Acoustics 6.5 pro-series components with crossovers. Not going to install an amp since I've been told that I can use the Nissan amp on the speakers. For those of you that have done the same, how important is it to also replace the rest of the rear speakers as well?
I understand that the rest of the speakers are supposedly just a fill. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

amp

Nice choice/taste on the components! Those are great components, however if I'm not mistaken those are 4 ohms. Blose amps are 2 ohms. Not a good idea to run those nice components with Blose. Also those separates require power, clean power, and more the better. recommed at least 75-100 rms. More the better and cleaner it will sound IMHO.

So should I also add an amp at least to power the components for now? If so, what's a good brand and how many watts are recommended on this car? I'm an older guy that doesn't listen to rap, no bass needed here. I mostly listen to classic rock and some old 80's pop. Andrea Bocelli every once in a while.

I am getting the Boston Pro 60's put in my car as well. I take it you are replacing the front components and the 6 x 9's in the rear deck?

I am putting the Boston SL95 6x9's in the rear deck, not only as fill, but I do have people who ride in the back from time to time.

As for the amp, those Boston Components are power hungry, they are rated at 125W RMS and a 3 ohm load. For your setup, I have heard great things about the Alpine PDX 4.150 ... http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/prod...odel=PDX-4.150

It will give your speakers plenty of power -- I've heard of the Pro 60's being able to handle over 175W. If that is a bit much for you, then I suggest the Alpine PDX 4.100. I was not an alpine fan before, but these amps are great. They do not take a toll on your electrical system because of their design ... and they are very small amps, so your installer should be able to tuck it away where the Bose amp currently is.

As for my set-up, it is going to be a bit more extreme. I am putting an Eclipse AVN6610 head unit in my car which I've already purchased. I am also putting the Pro 60's, SL95, and the Boston SPG555 subwoofer in my car. I've already bought my amp -- an Audison LRx 5.1k ... don't ask how much that amp was, lol

Anyways, let me know if you have anymore ?'s

funny thing, i just read about speakers for the G earlier today...

These component speaker systems...infinity kappa series and infinity reference series are 2ohms which will improve the sound if your planning to keep the factory amp. Keep a lookout though, there's the infinity kappa "perfect" series which is 4ohms.
