Angry Infiniti North Shore in Glendale WI Sucks!

I had to file a complaint with the BBB. Service is terrible! Listen to this. I sent this to some of the execs at Nissan/Infiniti and the Better Business Bureau:

Subject Regarding a situation with Infiniti North Shore

Hello,

I wanted to report a situation in which I not only received terrible service. The problem initially began on 01/11/08 when I took my car in after all of my driver's side speakers gave out. Since my car is currently under warranty until June 2008 I decided to take it in. After the dealership had a chance to look at the car (test drive), I was told by one the employees in the service department that they could not recreate the problem so they had nothing to fix. I then picked up my car that day. The issue occurred several more times throughout the week and would start working by random events such as braking sharply or changing a CD. On Saturday Morning (January 18th, 2008), I stopped off at Infiniti North Shore to report the same issue as it was happening. I accidentally changed the CD and the problem went away. Leo Finley (Infiniti North Shore General Manager) told me at that point that he would have the Service Department take apart the stereo and look into the issue. Starting on Monday, I received calls from the service department again stating that they could not recreate the problem even though Leo had advised me that this would be looked in to regardless. I advised the person that I spoke with about the conversation I had with Leo. The employee advised that they would keep the car overnight and take a look at it the next day. On Tuesday, I received the same call as before. I once again asked the person to speak with Leo.

Later that day, I received a call telling me that they figured out the problem and it was that I was playing the music too loud and that it was too bass heavy which causes a circuit breaker to go out and shut off the speakers. However, when I explained that I never had my bass above -2 & volume above 19 and asked why it was only the left side that was cutting out all I got was "I don't know". The person said they would look into it and hung up with me. About 30 minutes to an hour later, I received a call from the sales manager at Infiniti North Shore. After a brief introduction, the sales manager began his conversation with by saying, "My understanding is that you are refusing to return the loaner car". The only thing that I want from this dealership is to have my car serviced under the remaining warranty. I found his comment to be extremely rude and out of line.

I went back that night and dropped off the loaner and asked that only the General Manager call me regarding this issue.

Additionally, I provided forums upon forums stating that this is a common problem with the head unit and my symptoms are exactly the same. When I showed about 30 pages to Leo, I was advised that the Head Unit would be replaced. I have not received a response which was promised to me as of today. I have attached just a few of the many threads which mention this issue:

I wanted to file a complaint against the Service Manager because of the way he spoke to me as well as the terrible service that I have gotten from this dealership.

This is actually not the first time that this has happened. I purchased an Infiniti I35 from this dealership within 8-10 months of the purchase the transmission fell apart. I ended up dishing out over $1400 to repair it even though I hadn't driven the car more than 15,000 miles. The service manager was the same person that refused to help me in this situation. When I had come to Leo afterwards he stated that I should have come to him for assistance. If this is the same kind of assistance that I am currently receiving, I don't need it.

I think that this dealership has dropped the ball in terms of customer service and has only tarnished the Infiniti name. I would appreciate someone calling me back regarding this situation.

By the way. Thank you all of you who reported your issues with your G35 head units.
