hey all. anyone know how to remove the ash tray? not the cup but the actuall tray? im installing a hifonics Brutus bass **** and need more clearance to be able to close which means i may need to cut some off of the plastic piece around the tray. anyway any help on the removal or people who actually have this **** in the tray would be real nice! later RacerX

Assuming you mean taking the ashtray housing out of the dash, not actually removing the rotating tray from the housing, here's my rendition:

1. Remove the shifter trim from the center console (you can either use a putty knife or something similar, or you can just use your finger, which is what I did)
2. The ashtray housing is held in place with 5 screws and 2 clips - unscrew all 5, and then pop it out from the dash assembly
3. There are 2 wiring plugs that must be undone...one is the hazard light, and IIRC the other is for the light inside the ashtray
Hope that helps!
