need speed sensor wire location for nav install
Hi All,
I will be getting the Kenwood NAV (KNA-DV3100) to go along with a Kenwood head unit once the double din arrives. My installer needs to know where the speed sensor wire is to tap into when installing the NAV. Anyone have schematics?
Also, where is the stock NAV antennae located?

It's a little easier to get to the one plugged into the Nav itself under the glove box. White and green as well.

Do you have factory nav? If not, then there's no connector under the glove box.
If you are putting in a new stereo, the one that plugs into the back of the radio is right there with all the other harnesses that were plugged into the old stereo. I cannot think of any logical reason anybody putting in a new stereo wouldn't use it.
If you're putting a datalogger in or something like that, can't you just get the VSS signal thorugh the ODB2 that you're connecting to anyway?

The VSS is also up at the A/C controller. Much easier to get to then the instrument panel or the radio (assuming you aren't taking the radio out). As mentioned above if you are taking the radio out just use the signal that is in the harness to the radio.

Uh, don't know what car you're driving, but the A/C controller is part of the stock radio.
In the service manual its actually called the Display and AC Auto Amp.
In the service manual, it's referred to as the A/C and Audio Controller.

But you are correct, there is a white with green stripe wire there that has a speed signal in it attached to the display.
