Re: Eclipse 8533 or Alpine IVA-900?

Hey guys, I work at a high-end car audio store and I am going to be installing the Eclipse AVN DVD/CD/MP3/NAV system in my G35 coupe. These things work so well and we are selling them faster than we can get them. This unit has EVERYTHING in one double-din chassis. I will post pictures when I am done, but right now we don't even get enough for my personal use. I hope to have it done by the end of April. Also, if any of you guys want Eclipse products, I can hook you up.

The AVN is $2300. I can check tomorrow for how many inputs it has, but it definitely has at least 1 aux input. Obviously, if you need more than 1, you could always use a outboard switcher.

okay, the AVN has one set of a/v inputs, but keep in mind you can use a switcher, and also, don't forget that it already has a DVD player built-in.

Re: Eclipse 8533 or Alpine IVA-900?

I'm new to this but wanted to know if there is a way to disable the Eclipse, Alpine, or Pioneer models so you can have them play DVD's when the car is in motion? Wanted to be able to have this function for the passenger on my long road trips.

Any information appreciated.

Thanks

Yes you can. As a professional, I recommend against it, but you can just ground the unit's parking brake wire on both the Pioneer & Eclipse.

Appreciate the feedback. Is there a reason you recommend against it? Only purpose is for passenger movie watching

I'm sure the cops won't mind you wizzing by them while watching Fast and the Furious in 5.1 surround sound.

Only because, as a professional, I must follow the manufacturer's suggestions. The unit will work fine, they just don't want any chance of the driver being distracted.
