Great local audio shop recommened this for my coup
One of the top 10 installers in the COUNTRY, John Rackiewcz, happens to work maaaaaaaybe 2 blocks from where I live. ANYWAY, after speaking with him and the rest of his staff for over an hour in preparation for my G35 6MT C delivery in June, this is what I'm going to go with:
FRONT SPEAKERS:
Rather than spend that much more on the very power hungry Q series, the MB Quart PCE 216 6.5 components sound beautiful, at a fraction of the cost.
REAR SPEAKERS:
MB Quart DKE 216 coax
REAR DECK:
(undecided yet - just for fill, possibly use stock amp & speakers)
SPEAKER AMP:
Eclipse 4 by 85 RMS (not sure of model num, but runs around $400)
SUBWOOFER SPEAKER:
Kicker Comp VR10. For those who have never seen these, take a look. They are stiched, not glued, and the cone is a composite instead of paper. The outside is rubber. When I picked it up and examined it, it just looked and felt like quality.
SUBWOOFER AMP:
Memphis MC500D. For those that don't know Memphis for sub amps - read up. Little known but highly respected, these things are awesome.
Anyway, that's it I guess. I'm going to have the VR10 in a sealed, removable box in the trunk so i can plug & play for music, or remove it for extra trunk space when needed.
I'll give you guys final reviews and pics when I get it done.

Weak. I will post my pics of what I have done in about 2 weeks or less. It will be titled, "What can you get for 10,000 grand as that is how much I have spent. Nothing bad about MB Quart, but FOCAL blows those away. I have heard them all. I have tried them all in my coupe. Nothing comes close. Good luck though....

Great choice on the Memphis amp. I perfer the JL Audio Subs and Speakers myself. The MB Quart just sound too sreatchy to me. The XR series components are awsome and a W6 or W7 JL sub has better sound quality and build quility than a Kicker sub. But it all comes down to system design. If you are confident in the direction you shop is steering you in then go with it. I'm sure you will be happy.
Do you hear me?

Speakers are a personal preference. You really need to listen to them before you actually buy them. I've heard some focal setups and I'm not too impressed, but some may like the sound of it. If the installer is one of the top 10 installers, he probably knows how to tune a system which is what 75% of people that own a system don't do. I'm sure you're car will sound good, but I feel the MB quarts in general are a tad bright for my taste.
