Re: Double-Din Titanium Dash Question

J's garage is the best! They actually care about their customers and are willing to do everything they can to make you happy. Definitely a great overseas company.

The dash looks great with the pioneer hu installed. Good job!

Re: Double-Din Titanium Dash Question

Mine was also the darker color? I sent an e-mail to Yoshi this morning advising to send out the correct one. In the meantime I would like to follow through with the install. Joe, do you think it would be a problem to use this one, and then swap the other one out if it is going to take weeks to receive the part. Or what about trying to have the other one spray painted very nicely to match the stock color?

Re: Double-Din Titanium Dash Question

I'm confused on this too. JiKyoo what happened? Did Nissan send J's the wrong parts? I just got an email from Yosi and he sent me pictures of my parts that came in. My numbers are the same as yours???!!! He is asking me if I want him to send these. I sent him a link to this thread but I dont' know what to tell him because no one has posted what happened? I told him to send this bracket #68260-AM913 but the one on the picture says 68260 AL700?!?!? Was it just a bad batch from Nissan? Do I tell him to re-order parts? Help!!! Here are the pics Yosi sent me.

Thanks,

-J

Just got the G! :-)~

Re: Double-Din Titanium Dash Question

Well it seems that this forum does not like .bmp's for some reason because each pic I post is not showing up. Anyhow, can someone tell me what Yosi's remedy to this problem is?

Thanks,

-J

Re: Double-Din Titanium Dash Question

Jeremy,

I also received the same pictures, etc for Yoshi. I had sent him what mine looks like, about 3 different shots in different light and also the numbers. Yoshi advised me this is what he had ordered from Nissan. I can forward anyone who is interested in Yoshi's reply to me about what he is doing to try to look into this. E-mail me at cloudkidmagic@aol.com if you need it. It was pretty lengthy b/c my install is on Thursday, so no matter what I have to use the one I got. I will probably have my professional installer pull the factory one out and IF it looks different (Light might have an effect on the dash). I do not know yet because my car has been in the shop for the last two weeks getting some body work done. Anyways, i will pull the stock one out, and compare them side to side. If they do not match, I will paint it and then try to have Yoshi correct this problem. What we need to do is find someone who has installed theirs and have them be so kindly take some pics of the numbers on it. I think a few have already did this DD. Anyone willing to do this for the G owners.... =). I guess that is the best way too tell. We need to find someone who has thiers and it looks right. Then take the numbers, shoot some pics and post them. Then we can e-mail Yoshi back about the problem with proof that Nissan is sending a different color.

Re: Double-Din Titanium Dash Question

I think it's just the lighting that's making it look different. I also got the AL700 double din when I ordered the Titanium. It sort of looked different, but it's hard to directly compare due to small light differences changes the color. So I decided to go ahead and install it. And it looks like a perfect match (see my "Finished double din install" thread for pics. I don't think there's color options other than black, willow, and titanium, so I think it's titanium and maybe they changed their part numbers.

AM913 is the correct piece to order and receive.

Re: Double-Din Titanium Dash Question

If you get the AM913 TITANIUM, not ALuminum, the colors should match.

Re: Double-Din Titanium Dash Question

Sorry I couldn't take pictures of the part number on the dash piece itself. I didn't feel like tearing my dash apart to look at the back of the dash piece. You guys got the wrong piece from Nissan. J's probably ordered the right AM913 Titanium piece but NIssan sent the wrong color piece and part number.

Hope this helps.

Re: Double-Din Titanium Dash Question

E-mail from Yoshi:

Thank you for sending the picture. It seems that it is a titanium color.
Because the silver color is only for the titanium color (I think that there
is no other silver color - JDM cluster is available with black, willow, and
titanium color). Please look at the photograph of the following E-mail. They
are all same parts (68260-AM913), but it seems that it might see a different
color (It is written the 68260-al700 at back side).

However, we are checking the parts once again. Although I understand that
you are in urgent. , however, it seems that it might need a time to find the
matter. It is because the Nissan's documents said that it is a
68260-AM913... Anyway, we are going to find the information as soon as
possible. Thank you for your time.

If we can do anything for you or you have any questions, please don't
hesitate to let us know.
We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely yours,
