Re: Double-Din Titanium Dash Question

just recieve e-mail from j's

Thank you for asking. We are sorry that my E-mail seems to have
confused you
a little....

The parts (which we sent the picture) is a 68260 - AM913 (titanium
color
double din dash), and it is not a parts of 68280-AM700. It is actually
one
part (same item). However, as you can see, it might be seen a color
different by the photograph.
I confirmed to Nissan this is the part of 68260-AM913. However, we are
unsure why it is written the 68260 AM700 on the back side. Then, we are
investigating it now.

Although it is a 68260-AM913 (not AM700), we hope that you can confirm
that
it is a parts which you are looking for because someone said that it
might
be a slightly different color from the US model. Because we have
attached
the
picture of the parts (this double din dash is a parts which you sent
him.
And he said that it looks like a perfect match for the US Skyline).
Please
let me know your ideas. Thank you.

If you have any unclear area, please feel free to let me ask. Thank
you.

If we can do anything for you or you have any questions, please don't
hesitate to let us know.
We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Re: Double-Din Titanium Dash Question

It looks like it is the same part. Just coded differently on the actual console. Nissan just has a different part number for it. XSw installed this AL700 console and said it looks just fine I linked his post above. Maybe all of these pictures are throwing the color off, and it looks darker by its lonesome. Only true test again is to have someone pull thiers out, take some pics of the number on their console and post it. Or just install it and make judgement on your own. I have no other choice right now but to install the one I received, but hopefully it will work out. If not, then I will order another from Yoshi (if there is such a thing as another console that is Titanium) and re-install it at a later time.

Re: Double-Din Titanium Dash Question

that picture of the al700 is the same color as the US g35 dash. Cloudkid, it will WORK! those are the same colors as mine and mine match perfectly. That's just backasswards why nissan would use 2 different part numbers.....

Yours should work though, I would wait until you install the part you have now and hold off on making Yosi order the same parts you already have now.

Re: Double-Din Titanium Dash Question

Confirmation: from Yoshi,

How are you today?

We are pleased to inform you that we have confirmed why it is written the
68260-AM700 on the 68260-AM913 parts. We confirmed the parts and this is a
correct parts of the 68260-AM913. However, the base parts is a 68260 AM700.
So, it is written the 68260 AM700.
So let you try to understand this better:
1 It is written 68260 AM700 in all the JDM double din dash
parts(un-painted).
2 Then, it is painted.
3 Then, the parts number should be changed to 68260-AM913 (titanium color),
68260-AL712 (willow color), 68260-AL710 (black color).

Although we are unable to confirm the US color, it is a correct parts of the
68260-AM913 (JDM double din dash titanium color). I hope that you can solved
this problem. If you have any questions, however, please feel free to let me
know. Thank you.

If we can do anything for you or you have any questions, please don't
hesitate to let us know.
We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely yours,
J's Garage Export

Re: Double-Din Titanium Dash Question

I think it would be a good idea as there's too many posts here that seem to indicate the AL700 is aluminum/silver instead of titanium. I agree that Yoshi provides great service.
