Aftermarket Dash for After Market HU?

Hey guys,

I just bought a G35 and I am really looking forward to swapping out the factory HU. Does anyone know where I can buy a new dash piece for the aftermarket HU? Or is eveyone modding their factory one?

Something similar to this one:

You need to buy a JDM double din kit and ac controller. They are available from site sponsors such as Riverside Infiniti and Grubbs performance. Expect to pay around $285.

You'll need a Nissan wiring harness, an antenna adapter and an amp bypass. If you want to retain your steering wheel controls, you'll need an aftermarket interface as well. I know the PAC units work but you'll need one that interfaces with the HU manufacturer.

The antenna adapter and amp bypass are common. The interface is specific to the HU and should be available through your shop but you might get it cheaper online, same with the nissan wiring harness. Good luck and post up the pics of the install.

The trim rings usually need some modification to ensure you don't have a gap in the DD finisher opening. If you have a good installer, they should be able to figure something out.

There is no amp if you don't have the Bose system. Many people with the Bose amp retain it, but you'll get much better results ditching the Bose amp and using a better aftermarket amp and speakers.
