Re: Finished first double din install

XSW, if you are using the AL700, and you said it matched perfectly then Nissan possibly is using the correct part number and sending the right part. I have the same console but I am not installing until Thursday. Only then can I compare both of them side by side. If you have the AL700, then J is probably ordering correctly, it is just the label on the console that says AL700 Nissan is going to have a different part number than what is on the actual console that supsup posted. REMEMBER there is a AL700 bracket that is needed too. Maybe this goes hand in hand. I had asked Joe or anyone else for that matter if it was possible to see if they could take out a few hours and check the numbers on the back of their console. J could be ordering the right part and maybe it just looks different in the light & stamped on the console AL700. The number you posted Joe is what is on the box and not on the actual console itself. When I received mine it was just packaged up in bubble wrap.

If you can not tell the difference in color when you installed yours XSW then we probably have the correct one? I have the same numbers on mine too. If all else fails, can we say Spray paint and order a new one from Yoshi IF IT IS WRONG, and install later? lol

Re: Finished first double din install

At this point, I'm quite happy with the AL700 and it matches perfectly to me. Maybe the box and the dash have different part numbers :P

Seems odd that so many people would be getting the wrong part. I'm pretty convinced that the AL700 part IS the titanium dash. From browsing nissan.co.jp site, there doesn't appear to be any option for the console other than black, willow, and titanium, so it couldn't be silver/aluminum. In anycase, you guys can continue to argue while I enjoy my double din :P

Re: Finished first double din install

LoL. We just want to make sure we get the correct parts!! I will find out by this weekend if it looks right, but since you have already installed it, their should not be a problem. Like you said, Nissan probably identifies this part with a particular part number and the actual console piece could possible be stamped with a different number. WE WILL GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS. Thats what we are all here for. Help each other out and share ideas to make sure we have our G's in tip/top shape and not installing an incorrect part in our dash. Hmm.. Maybe the "grey" look and titanium will make it have a unique look.. =) lol...

Re: Finished first double din install

my question to nissan is why have the box labled as am913 and the part be al700? seems pretty stupid to me.......
let me know cloudkid on friday how it came out, you maybe okay. Sorry, I still won't disassemble my dash to look at the part number (unless you want to send me an alpine iva-901 to install...then I might disassemble it just for you...lol)

I hope you guys are right. I just told him to mail it. I sent him pictures of my dash to help out but haven't heard back yet. I am betting on all of your posts and taking a chance that it is correct. Thanks everyone for chiming in!

Just got the G! :-)~

Thanks - Joey Avino

Re: Finished first double din install

That the Nismo Titanium shift **** (non-GT). Got it from www.performancenissanparts.com, good price and service. Easier to install than the double din.
