G35x '04 Sedan Sirius Radio Question

I purchased this car used. It has a sirius satellite radio antenna on the back of the roof and when I hit the "SAT" button the "call sirius" display and radio ID display come up on the factory radio. I called sirius to have the radio activated. The sirius rep said the radio ID was valid and she tried several times to send a signal but the radio never activated.

Does the problem lie with my radio? I just figured if the radio ID # popped up all systems were go. Should I check the connections? Thanks in advance.

Try unplugging the tuner, wait a few minutes, and then plug it back in. It sort of resets the tuner. I have had to do that a few times. The other thing-- do you hear anything on any of the sirius channels? Usually a few of the channels have something broadcast- usually telling you the phone number to call and activate. If you aren't hearing that, and unplugging and plugging back in the tuner doesn't work, I would say you need a new tuner.

Firstly, I apologize to the mod(s) who had to move this thread.

Thanks 06slvg for your assistance. Apparently the Sirius folks aren't too swift and only sent a signal once. When I called back, the rep sent a signal several times and my tuner eventually picked it up. All systems are go. Thanks for your insight.
