I am selling my week old Mike's Mount, PM me if interested

I decided I do not like having the radar underneath the rear view mirror

It's only available direct from the manufacturer. Resellers mark it up for a profit as they order it from Valentine, usually selling to the states and countries where Valentine can't ship to. In Britain, the V-1 goes for almost $1200!

The V-1 needs a clear view of the road, and near the rear view mirror is the best. You can mount the optional remote display anywhere you want however.

For a very stealthy installation in areas where RDs are illegal, I once recommended the user install it at the rear of the vehicle, up near the top of the rear of the car in a fake 'center mount brake light'. He ran the remote display up to his ashtray for a truly stealthy installation. He said it worked great this way.

To the Escort 9500i owners. Once you lockout a signal at a particular location, is it possible to unlock that lockout? I ask because there's a possibility that there might be two signals at the same location - one from a police radar and another from a motion sensor. If you don't see the police car and you lockout, you might be locking out the police radar and not the motion sensor. If that happens, can you delete or unlock the lockout?

Motion sensor will be on one frequency and the radar will be on another. It WILL alarm on the Radar.

Yes, but what happens if both radar signals are there, and you press lockout and the unit lockouts the police radar as opposed to the motion sensor? I don't think the 9500i is going to ask you which signal out of the two you want to lockout, right? That's why I am asking if you can delete or unlock that lockout later on (assuming that you somehow find out that you did a lockout on the wrong signal).

I am debating right now whether to get the V1 or the 9500i.

To answer your original question, YES, you can unlock a location that's "marked"...you just need to be in that location with the GPS symbol on the readout rotating in motion to do so.

I just got one a few weeks ago & read the manual thoroughly. If you ever do mark a false alarm, you need to be aware and look around...clearly if you're going to be marking false alarms with this, you'll be doing it in locations where you travel regularly, so you'll want to look around the first time you drive by & think it to be a false alarm. Then next time you drive by, look around again when the alert goes off...if you're clear, then go ahead & mark it. Make sense?

So no easy way of unlocking it if you make a mistake. Thanks for the input.

With my 8500 I have had one alert and then I muted it. Then a second radar appeared and it alerted on that. Each new radar signal alerts. When you mute, you only mute that one particular signal.
