New Bose System In 04?

Good idea? or is it even possible?

My 04 bose system has problems and cuts out one channel only on cd, so I assume it is the head unit as it doesn't do it on radio so I was thinking of getting the 06 head unit, but is it possible to install?

I understand that I have to use the 06 heater controls, and does anyone know if those work as well?

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, I may go dd bu then I need to find a dash kit, anyone have a used one or can point me to a place to get it cheap or at least cheaper than retail?

Thanks,

Adam

The 05-07 headunits won't fit in the 03-04 cars. The dash is different and so are the button locations. Buy a used 03-04 Bose HU.

I want to put in the complete dash piece with the new style *****, so i wanted to know if everything will fit in terms of the wiring. So has anyone converted to the new style stereo? I kind of like the ***** better than the buttons.

Thanks guys.

That means putting in a complete dash and information center, and who knows what else. The trim pieces are not interchangable like that.

So you can't change the whole center console area? it looks very similar.
