Does this sound like the alternator?
So a couple weeks back my drivers side door lock goes and wont flip over. The next day the passenger side goes and wont function (I thought this was ironic that they both could go so close). Next my car started acting funny on ignition, I would start the car and the RPM's would jump up to 1000 but than lag off to almost nothing before coming right back up...
So I got an oil change yesterday and the transmission flushed, I drove it home and when I went to leave that night. It died on start up, only... all the lights stayed on, headlights, interior, radio so i know the battery is fine. I tried this several times and the car would turn on, RPM's would hit 1000 and come right back down to 0 at which time the car would shut off... Eventually, I was able to keep it going when I started it and gave it some gas afterward, only to try it again and have it die...
Im ready to sell this car because im losing my patience, does this sound like a familiar problem or the alternator?

nope, it's not the alternator. The windows are just coincidental, they go bad all the time.
But if you car dies at start up when the engine is warm, usually it doesn't happen at cold starts, check this link...and no, it's not the map sensor either.

Thanks for the quick response...I WAS starting the car warm and based on that thread it looks like it could be the throttle body that needs cleaning. What the best way to do it?
