sound deadening worth is in a coupe
Definitely worth it if you like pain and suffering. It's not much fun really. I've used B-quiet, brown bread, fat mat and Dynamat. I'll say that Dynamat extreme is the best and most expensive I've used. Fat mat is decent, but has limited holding power in Tucson heat. Lot of asphalt smell for a good while too. If you're taking the panels off to do speakers, do it. Diminishes road noise and does wonders for speakers as well.
I took my entire car apart, including the carpets and deadened the entire car with Raamat. Then I covered everything with a layer of ensolite. Then I filled up every single gap in the car with foam. The car is so much more quieter now. You can actually hear what the passenger in the back are saying while on the freeway.
I like the dynamat extreme trunk kits for value if you go the dynamat route. Bunch of good products out there, but drawbacks to each

I am thinking about putting sound deadening materials in my trunk- particularly becaue I want an exhaust system but I don't want to hear it at highway speeds. Does anyone have experience or feedback on the incabin sound of the exhaust after installing dynamat or other products?
I just ordered a roll of raammat, 3yards of ensolite and a can of spray adhesive. $176 shipped but it should be enough to do the whole car.
I've had a pair of infinity 62.7i and another pair of 692.7i sitting under my bed for 3 months waiting for me to get up the energy to gut the rear interioir to replace the stock bose garbage.
I figure if i am going to do it i might as well deaden while it's apart. It would be stupid to tear that all apart twice.
I did plenty of research. Seems raammat is the best bang for the buck and easy to work with. I'll let you know next weekend how it works out.
