USA Spec PA11-NIS in Direct Mode

For those of you using the USA Spec PA11-NIS in direct mode. Does the track# and minute on stereo display sync with iPod? When I change songs on my iPod nano, the stereo display doesn't get updated.

that would be a NO, unless you use the oem radio or steering wheel next track button. it wont register on the radio if you do it directly on the ipod.

This is kind of annoying. If the stereo can't stay in synced with the iPod, I think it would be better if the stereo screen just display something static like "CD Changer" or "Aux".

Now, if in playlist mode. Does the stereo display keep up with iPod pretty well? I have the iPod cable running through the center console, so the cable is sort of too short to control the iPod while I'm driving. If in playlist mode, I can keep the iPod inside the center console and use only headunit/steering wheel for control.

Sorry i cant answer that cause i never used the playlist mode. i have my ipod on custom holder right in front of my stereo so i can reach it easy from the shifter. i also put my ipod in the area below the armrest. if you dont have enough slack try moving the unit in the lil area between the armreast and handbrake, that gave me enough to put the ipod next to the stereo and also back into the area below the armrest.
