Nathan Peddicord of Excessive Amperage makes a direct fit 200 amp alternator for the Z/G. I've got one in mine because of all my carPC and audio gear, and I am pretty happy with it.

I think I paid about $400 for it, including shipping. Took about 1 month for him to build it; he custom builds all his alternators.

It was a direct fit, no problems on the install (other than anything I do on my TT's G35 is always a PITA because of the tight space and the JWT piping...)

I haven't found a readily-available HO alt for our cars. Several companies will custom rewind one for you. You can hit up Ohio Generator or Alterstart.
