I just received the new Terk XMicro antenna - the smallest XM Radio antenna yet! (It does require the 1-to-2 splitter/adapter) Check out the pics in my sedan, on the rear deck.

I didn't like the "loose wire" look of the first location that I picked. So I moved the antenna to the far-passenger side (because the driver side has a wire radio antenna in the glass at that point - which could block the 2.3 GHz signal). Here are the new location pics.

I just did a XM Radio install this weekend with the antenna that came with the kit. Do you notice a diffrence in reception between antennas? I do get drop outs now and then with my antenna on the rear deck. But I think I have read that the new micro antenna is more sensitive. What have you found?

 

I can't distinguish any difference yet between the performance of the two antennas. I rarely get any dropouts with either one.

I am very interested in purchasing this antenna and would welcome any reports from others that have installed it concerning signal reports. Since I have the wind deflector installed on my G35c, am considering placing the Terk Micro Antenna underneath the wind deflector. I think that location would be idea for enhanced signal reception and strength. I know getting the micro wire back to the XM receiver would not be easy. Comments welcome.
