AAI-NIS2 Installation Problem
AAI-NIS2 Installation Problem
Hey guys. hope you can help...
so, i purchased this adapter on ebay for my 2006 G35x Sedan.
Took my dash apart this weekend, and that went pretty well. I installed the adapter with the 12 pin into the back of the factory stereo (in the sat jack) and hooked up the other connection to the wire that came off the back of the radio.
It didn't work with the PAC switch on either SAT or NO SAT. Well, upon further investigation i discover this in the PAC's instructions
"2. Insert the AAI-NIS2’s 10 pin main power Plug (T-Harness) in between the factory radio and factory harness. For vehicles
without the 10 pin main power plug, connect the AAI-NIS2’s 10 pin red wire to the vehicle’s accessory +12v circuit."
the adapter i have only has 2 connections on it. the 12 pin male and another female in addition to the yellow and blue wires. i looked online at pictures of the adapter and i see three white connections in addition to the RCA's. I only have 2 white connections. I definitely have the right model though.
Any thoughts as to what i might be missing here? thanks

i believe the issue is that i need to hook the red wire of the adapter to a 12 volt accessory wire on my car, since i don't have the 10 pin connector
anyone know where i can find a 12 volt accessory wire in my dash? thanks

I'll try that as a last resort, i guess
i actually ordered another AUX adapter that should have the 10 pin power connector still attached
before i take my dash apart (again) can anyone confirm to me that i should be able to get the 10 pin power plug from the PAC adapter hooked up without too much trouble
thanks again
