Re: Car Computer Pics

I'm not sure what you mean by mounting unit. If your talking about all the navi parts... I organized a group buy for the navi parts and the price list is there for all the discounted parts. It's still expensive but a great deal compared to the retail prices. and yes I used the xenarc 700tsv.

Re: Car Computer Pics

Thanks! I think I get it. If someone can fit a double din with factory nav, then doubledin+this setup should work, right?

Re: Car Computer Pics

Are the parts for this the same for both willow and graphite interiors (is color matching an issue)?

Re: Car Computer Pics

I'm not sure what the willow interior comes with, but these parts are the titanium colored parts. If you have need it in another color then just call Ruben and ask him (his number is in the other thread). I'm sure he'll give you the same price.

Re: Car Computer Pics

Did you just buy the Xenarc 700TSV screen without the housing? Or did you somehow mount that screen in the stock holder with the housing still around the Xenarc?

Im thinking of doing this before i hook up a dvd player to the nav to get better picture quality. Thanks.

Re: Car Computer Pics

I bought the kit from digitalww for the vga panel and touchscreen... basically it's a xenarx 700TSV without the housing. You can either buy that or you can buy a xenarc with the housing but you will not be able to mount the screen with the housing. My advice would be to get the kit that I bought and save some money. The kit cost me $380... a Xenarc 700TSV would cost about $500 shipped. The TSV has a vga input and 2 composite inputs so you could hook a dvd player up to it straight. If that's all you want to do (play dvd's) then I would suggest you buy a the cheaper xenarcs that just have a composite input and no touchscreen. You'll be able to buy these for around $250 I'm guessing. I think the model is 700YYV. This might need to be double checked.

Re: Car Computer Pics

Excellent work ... especially on the matching of the cover over the navi buttons. The finished product looks great. BTW thanks for answering everyone’s questions, even though some questions might be redundant, its helpful when members like yourself take the time to help fellow g35ers. My Question is concerning the PAC box, what is it? And how does it work? Is it something that ties into the Bose amp? I haven’t heard anyone else mention that before.

Re: Car Computer Pics

Oh I forgot my second question.... Does the screen go down automatically with a push of a button or by you pushing on it all the way down?

Re: Car Computer Pics

right ramborami, it goes down just like the stock navi and comes up by the push of a button. The PAC box is something that has been long awaited for the G35. It's still not out yet. I don't believe anyone has the specs to how it will be connected but basically it will allow you to input audio into the stock bose reciever digitally. Their are many threads in the audio section for the PAC box. Thanks.
