i thought the specs were already released?
It will have 2 inputs.... Each time you press SAT, it will switch between the 2 inputs.
I'm trying to look for the thread now...

oh and the headunit/receiver is made by Clarion... not bose
The only bose components in the car are the Amp and 2 rear speakers i thought...

Re: Car Computer Pics

lol thanks for the clarification RamboRami. Do you know if the PAC box will hook up to the back of the reciever or the Amp in the trunk. I was thinking it would connect to the reciever but there was some talk about it being connected to the amp. Can you clearify this? Thanks in advance.

Re: Car Computer Pics

Your install looks pretty hot man! I already have the stock Navi but was wondering if you thought interfacing the car PC tothe stock Navi screen would be difficult? Not sure what the best way to switch video signal sources would be?

Re: Car Computer Pics

Not sure about this man. Someone did what your talking about on their 350Z navi screen. It was a lot of work though. Required modding the screen from the back by soldering. Not sure if you wanna get into all that. Follow the link at the bottom. I'm pretty sure the screen for the 350Z and the G35 are the same. Nissan does this a lot to save cost of production. IT is possible, just requires some work.

Hey Noa

What modifications did you have to make the oem parts to make the lcd fit?

Re: Car Computer Pics

I had to dremel much of the lcd holder for the xenarc to fit. I have pics somewhere in another thread for my computer project. I also had to dremel out out some of the spring loaded mechanism because the xenarc is a little longer then the stock screen to basically I dremelled out the bottom of the spring loaded mechanism. Those were to the two major modifications required. I used the panel for the radio that originally came with my car and modified the area where the stock navi buttons are to look like that. That was pretty easy. I was originally planning on illuminating an infiniti halo logo there in orange. But it turned out to be more work then I wanted to do. (at this point I was frustrated with the project, lol.) So I just made it what it is right now.

Re: Car Computer Pics

Hey anyone know whose car puter that is on digitalww's car installs gallery?? (obviously the g35)....I know I have seen those pics around here somewhere but there is so much on this site it would be impossible to try and find it again. I want a screeen that will hide away JUST LIKE THAT. Just trying to figure out whether that or buying the stock up/down mechanism will be easier/cheaper. Thanks a lot for your help!!

InfinitiFanatik,

I don't remeber whos car that is, but I remember seeing it on here too, it was the inspiration for my own install. I did a screen just like that using a plexiglass case. I did a howto on how i did the screen here:
