OEM bracket with Z2 install not so perfect...

Ok, it has been said that the OEM bracket will work fine with aftermarket DD installs like the Z2. Well tonight I ripped into the car with a vengeance and had the factory radio out and out of the bracket in about 10-15 minutes. I slid the Z2 into the bracket and 3 of the 4 holes lined up perfectly so I said oh well at least I have 3 and the pioneer manual even states "3 or 4" so I figured I was fine. I then grab the finisher and slide it on and it appears that the Z2 is sitting too far back. I removed the finisher, take the screws out and examine the other mounting holes on the Z2. I try and try and none of them will line up to make it any better. WTF!?!?! here is a pic...

BTW, I am using the factory bracket that came in my 06 g35 sedan with the NON bose NON navigation system.

The Z1/Z2 is tucked in a little. I"m not sure how other DD HU are, but that's just the way it is for the Z1/Z2.

Really? on other installs it looks a lot more flush than it does in my picture. I am going to mod the bracket to make it sit right where I want it to. I cant have it looking all jacked up like that.

If this makes you feel any better. I have a 03 and put the single din avic n1 in about 4 years ago. It didn't line up with the factory bracket either. I marked where the holes needed to be and took a drill and drilled a couple new holes in the factory bracket. Worked like a charm.
