Re: HELP WITH AMP
what kind of LOC did you use? some do rob lots of powers, or in my case, it was the freaking factory deck, one thing you can do is, try use someone else's signal to your amp, and see if it gets LOUDER!, i did spl'd with the LOC, it hit around 126!, but after i change out the factory' deck, it hit around 138, which isnt so bad for a coupe with small trunk....oh or you can also check the gain's on the amp...might work.

Re: HELP WITH AMP
If its a dual 4 ohm voice coil sub and if I remmeber correctly the memphis amp is rated 1000 watts at 2 ohms you might have it wired in series where the amp is seeing 8 ohms thereby cutting the output of the amp to 250 watts. You need to wire it in Parallel where the amp + is to VC1+ to VC2+ then the amp - to VC1- to VC2-. The JL Audio website will help you out with wiring diagrams.

Re: HELP WITH AMP
CORRECTION - That Memphis amp requires a 1-ohm load for 1000 watts. So if your sub is a dual 2 ohm you will get the 1000 watts. If it's a dual 4 the best you can get is 500 watts.
