Problem with my stereo

The radio works fine but when playing a CD most of the time sound only comes out of the passenger side speakers. No sound at all comes from drivers side. However, sometimes when I take a hard turn or brake hard sound will start to come out of both sides, but it usually doesnt last long..
The dealership wont even look at, so should I just take it to a sound and audio shop or what? I think its just a wire loose or a short of some kind.

this is a common problem that the dealer should take care of by replacing the radio. If your car has warranty left, it will be a warranty item.

well technically the car is under warranty, but they said the stereo is on a separate, one year warranty which would have expired by now so they didnt even look at it. So should I just take it to an audio shop and let them have a look?

No, the radio and everything in the car that was factory installed or installed by the dealer at the time of purchase carries the same 48 month 60,000 mile warranty. Look in Infiniti's web site for more info and show the dealer the warranty information and ask them what they don't understand about it. http://www.infiniti.com/ownership/warranty.html
