I've been really bothered I just got screwed over I think.

I just got my windows tinted yesterday and I saw that the same audio shop that I got my tint at, does ipod integration installs.
I got there at 8:30 and left there at 6:30 PM

So I paid the guy $150 for tinting all the 5 windows (which they messed up and made them replace it on the driver and passenger side, I havent check the back ones yet)
and $200 for the iPod integration

I told the owner that the the Ipod integration that I wanted was the ones I saw online which showed people having their ipod installed in the armrest and it displayed names on the factory radio and pressing the SAT button to enable to iPod to start
I told him that people had to go in the truck to part of the install

when he was done, I was really bothered cuz he installed the USA Spec PA11-NIS instead of the ones you guys are talking about on this forum
he didnt have to go in the truck to do part of the install and that it didnt even show the names

he didnt know if it showed names of songs or artist, he had to go look in the instructions

the owner said he would take it out, and give me a store credit which i dont want cuz I dont want them to work on my car anymore
I basically just want my money back and buy the 999U7-VR002, 999U7-VS000, 999U7-VS001 that Nissan makes

what should i use with my $200 store credit
should i have him order the part from the nissan dealership
and just pay him to install it?

or does USA Spec make a new kit that can attach to the one I already have to display names?

what should I do, I really don’t want to lose $200.... I'm so bothered that I can't stop thinking about how such a bad job they did and because of their bad install jobs that what if my window tint start to show bubbles or if I got ripped off with the iPod integration...

i'm losing sleep!!!!!!!!!!!! grrrr cuz this is my first mod... and everything went wrong

I woke up at 7:30 am got to the place at 8:30 am and didnt leave the shop till 6:30 pm and didnt get home till 7:30 pm AHHHHHHH

i am very skeptical right now since they messed up on the tint at first... i dunno if they did a good job or not cuz I dont know much about tinting, but from the looks of it ... it looks alright

what do you guys think?

You have to get the factory iPod integration from a dealer or an online OEM parts seller. The local shop isn't going to carry it.

 

couldnt i have the shop order it for me... since they might get a discount and I'll use my store credit there?
and install it myself?

 

to me that tint job look like crap, is that a bubble in the back window? also whats that streak on the small window?

 

its all the spray and liquid they used to put on the tint

Hopefully you paid via credit card... and if so demand a refund, and deny the charges to the credit card people....

And then you will have some leverage with him.

Just tell the credit card people he made a promise to do something, and he didnt do it correctly, simple as that.

i finally got the guy to agree to reimburse me
and install the factory iPod adaptor in for free

he wasnt too happy though

 

glad it worked out for you....

if not, a simple letter to the BBB always does the trick......

I think Quantum tint is nicer for lighter cars (DG/Silver/White)
