Could somebody tell me...

I'm running a Bose on a 03 sedan, I changed the front components
to Polks Momo 6500, they are 4 ohms, did I make a mistake by
not buying 2 ohms speakers, one audio guy was surprised they even worked.
I know you have to turn up the volume a bit more but would sound quality
be better with 2 ohms, and when I asked the guy about installing an AMP
he said forget, that I should rip out everything..salemanship I guess...

You can install an amp and still keep your bose headunit. You can take the signal before the bose amp and use that to give a signal to an amp.

yeah i m suprised they work too haha

funny guy, the quality will be cleaner @ 4ohm @ the same volume/voltage w/e you wanna call it, but with lower SPL obviously.

most shop guys are knuckleheads... they'll try to con you into things. i think theres a sticky on how to add an amp and sub to your bose

as for "Could somebody tell me..." i missed the question sorry

4-ohm is fine. SNR should be better with them.

Since the high ends shops just want to rip everything out I went
by a Circuit City and asked them if they could install my Infinity 2
channel AMP to run the front components and they said sure, about a
2 hour job. Will this be a good idea would it be a good improvement...

it will be a noticeable difference yes. as for what you like to listen to and how you listen to it. iono, just gotta try it and see wot you like everyone has different taste

high end shops well they are used to dealing with... how should i put it more enthusiast so they will be a little snooty yes or a lot

An aftermarket amp from a good brand is always going to be better than stock no matter how high-end your stock stuff is.
