I got the JDM DD kit and a pioneer avic n3, will have pics on June 15th

My question is, where do I purchase the plastic single ring "box" lol. I don't know the exact name, I saw a couple on ebay but I have no clue what size it would be. Obviously I'm not utilizing the full double din, so just need to know where I could get that part from.

you mean the dash pocket???

If that is the piece you are referring to, you can get any dash pocket from Best Buy or any other audio install shop. It is a universal dash pocket for Nissan cars. The only problem is that you will have a ~1/8" gap between your aftermarket singel DIN HU and the dash pocket which is pretty noticable.

If you get the dash pocket from Yoshi from J's Garage in Japan, that gap is filled by the JDM dash pocket's top edge trim which makes it look much more professional.

I have not found a dash pocket yet here in the US that has this top trim edge that will fill this gap like the JDM one I got from Yoshi. You could potentially use some black foam insulation to fill that 1/8" gap.

the JDM dash pocket is located in the upper left hand corner. This is a picture out of my DIY guide. Remember, you do not need the aluminum bracket as you can use your stock one you already have. You do not need the blank bracket as well.

Also, these parts are only for 2003-04 models ONLY.

This is the Nissan Universal dash pocket you can order via Crutchfield or byu from Best Buy. Again, you will have about a ~1/8" gap between the bottom of your HU and the top of the unniversal dash pocket.

any idea how much that dash kit is goin for now? or can i go to the dealer to get a price on it?
i heard that the soft buttons on the metra dash kit dont always work..
and is the a/c controler removable from the oem peice to into the jdm dash kit?
