It's not really an alarm, more of a keyless door remote. So yea, you could go with whatever aftermarket alarm you wish.

my buddy installs aftermarket radios, subs, amps, and alarms and he says its a bitch to put in a aftermarket alarm (for example the 2 way system alarms out there) on a car with keyless entry slash push start engine. He has a altima coupe and could not install it on his car..

The G35 does have a factory alarm, is just doesn't have a shock sensor attached to it. If you roll the windows down and lock the door, wait 45 seconds, then reach in through the open window and unlock the door and then open it an alarm will go off. Same if you open the hood or trunk.

The alarm system is integrated in to the BCM of the vehicle, so it can't be removed or deactivated. However, if you disarm it with the factory alarm and quit using the OEM kelyess remote then the alarm shouldn't rearm.

What kind of issues are you having with yours that makes you want to replace it? It would more then likely be much, much cheaper to fix the current system then to start over (of course you will end up with a much more secure system if you go aftermarket).

I, personally, would just add sensors to the OEM alarm instead of spending $500+ on an aftermarket. Of course I don't live in a high crime area either.

The installation on the G35 isn't too bad, the only hang up is running wires in to the drivers door for the lock/unlock and arm/disarm. Past that, you can do an entire remote start without running any wires under the hood - that's always a plus.

DEI makes a pretty good shock sensor that a lot of people are adding. It is a dual stage shock sensor, but only one stage will interface with our alarm.
