Would this make an improvement.

I'm running the Bose system with the front components changed to
4 ohms (PolksMomo) speakers being driven by a 2 channel AMP on a 03 sedan.

Would swapping out those rear door speakers to some 2 or 3 way
2 ohms speakers such as Kappa's make an improvement, the Bose
stuff just looks so cheap.

Just for clarification (and I know this has been covered over and over again)...

Front door components and backseat side panel 6.5" speakers are stock NISSAN speakers, NOT Bose.

The only Bose stuff in the "Premium System" are the rear shelf 6x9's and Bose amp in trunk.

To answer your question, any replacement of the stock speakers, even the Bose ones would be an improvement. The stock HU (arguably manufactured by Clarion) is decent enough to run aftermarket amps and speakers. But to definately get optimal ideal sound quality, you want to swap out your stock HU and do a DD conversion. But, IMO and others as well, the speakers in our stock system is truly the limiting factor in sound quality.

There are some audiophiles that say you really only need quality front components and use the less expensive aftermarket speakers in the rear for fill. If you have a sub in the trunk, there are some that say leave the 6x9's out of the rear shelf and use them as open ports for your sub in the trunk.

Personally, I have Perfect 6.1's in the front, Eclipses 6.5"s in the backseat and Kappas 3-way 6x9's in the rearshelf and the Infinity Basslink in the trunk. Overkill? Maybe, but I'm happy.

Hope this helps....

Ahh....the Bazooka, I remember that came out when I was in high school back in the late '80's...lol. I don't know the quality of the Bazooka but I think they are quite big.

You mean these stock crappy speakers???

FYI, this is what the Bose amp looks like....
<a href="http://imageshack.us"><img src="http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/8656/image001kc0.jpg" border="0" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us"/></a><br/><a href="http://g.imageshack.us/g.php?h=140&i=image001kc0.jpg"><img src="http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/8656/image001kc0.5a3a1ab7eb.jpg" border="0"></a>

Now, compare those stock speakers to the new JL ZR525 separates that cost $850!!! lol

Those cheap speakers look familiar, funny My Bose AMP is black.

Bet you those JL puppies sound pretty good for 850$, I only paid around
150$ for my Momo's, would those JL's sound that much better.

That bose amp is from a coupe. The sedan Bose amps are black, are shaped differently, and are located in a different spot.

The JLs wouldn't sound $700 better than the Momos in your system. Your car should sound fine the way it is.

I have 2 way kappa 62.7i's for the rear sides and it is a huge improvement over stock

Putting 3 way 6x9's in the rear deck is useless if you are running off the stock bose amp. It only outputs bass to those speakers so only the woofers are going to function.

I've got 2 way kappas there now that i did fully wire with the crossovers for future post bose amp use but I know for now the tweeters aren't getting any signal.

I drive a sedan, so would sound improve if I replace my stock rear door
speakers to Kappa 2 ohms speakers, or is it just fill, seems to me it could be much cleaner fill, just not sure.
