Want to install the 4 gauge amp kit wire that connects from your batt to your head unit? anywhere I can find this on a DIY. I have a 03 with Pioneer AVIC D3 with the stock Bose system. I'm adding a 10" Infinity kappa with a mono 1600a ref amp..

if someone can give me tips on how to wired everything I would be really great full. Already dump 6 bills just to install my head unit that was plus the DD kit. I don't wanna waist anymore $$ on that install fee wanna try doing and learning how to do things myself.

Thanks

The 4 gauge wire will go from the battery to your amp, not from the battery to your HU.

There is a rubber grommet to the rear of the battery that you can cut and run the power wire through. Use some silicone to seal up around the wire to avoid leaks.

why do you need to run another power wire from your HU to the battery. If you use the power wire harness (i.e. Scorsche NN03) you can connect your aftermarket HU to the stock power harness that you used with your stock HU.

There shouldn't be a reason why you would have to run new power wire just for HU. If you install a new amp in the trunk and need to run a power wire from that amp to the battery, there is a rubber grommet located in the passenger foot board area that accesses the engine bay and battery that you can plunge into to run that 4G wire. Just make sure like Russ aka Meatshackle has stated to seal that grommet back up so that you don't get your ECU wet next time it rains.

hope this helps...

Any idea if 1/0 wire will fit?

The grommet is huge. Just cut a small slit and squeeze it through. 1/0 should be no problem.
