Double-Din Checklist - Am I missing anything?

Hi Folks'

I'll be swaping my Bose w/ NAV stereo for a DD unit. These are the items I plan on purchasing. Can someone let me know if im missing anything?

JDM DD Kit w/ Ac Controller
Scosch Wiring Harness
Antenna Adapter
Pioneer AVIC-F700BT w/ Ipod Cable

For my bose amp to work do I have to purchase anything else?

Do you want your steering wheel controls to work? If so, you'll need a steering wheel interface, from PAC, for instance.

Yeah, if you wanna use the Bose amp, you need an adapter, and I can't remember the name of it right now... it steps down the volume from the preamp out on the headunit to a volume the Bose amp can use (don't try to hook it all up without this adapter, you might blow the speakers, or at the least it will sound awful). Schosce makes one, but I don't know if they make the best one or not.

Thanks!

Can anyone else chime in on a part number or alternative?

I think perhaps i'll keep the nav.

You are right about the resale value. Plus it doesn't look to bad, too bad you cant use a custom background on it.

Maybe a NAV2GO module in the future is an option.

well the only reason i haven't got a double din kit yet, because i can't find it in black.. and i haven't found someone in SD to paint the whole center console Matte black.. but other wise i would go with a DD and the stock navi on top. run the tvandnav2go so i can have 2 screens in function. and it won't look so boring.

You are referring to an LOC. You don't need one if the HU has RCA outputs, which already output a low level signal that the Bose amp will accept. There is a Metra wire harness adapter kit that has RCA pigtails. You can also cut an RCA cable and make your own.

With the Metra 70-7551, beside the RCA pigtails, will you just wire 4 other cables (blue, yellow, red, ground)? Is it going to power up the amp? If not, how are you going to do that?
