Navigation Question. (Aftermarket vs. Stock)

Question - Is the stock navigation screen (hooked up to a decent DVD Player) be anywhere close to the picture quality (pixels, etc.) to the afterrmarket ones. (Eclipse AVN2454, Kenwood KVT915, Alpine IVA 901, ect). Before I bought an aftermarket DVD player and hooked it all up, I wanted to see if anyone new how well the factory one looks. I did a search on this, but no luck. Thanks in advance.

It's probably not as good by "specs" but to my eye I can't tell the difference between the quality of my nav screen and my Alpines in the back.

My shop told me the Nav screens resolution capabilities are all the same.
