Post your music for system testing.
Everyone has a scene from a DVD that they like to show off their home theater system with. And everyone has a song that they test audio systems with. Here is mine...
Smile (Once In A While) - Anything Box
It has good clean bass that never distorts. Thumping bass as well as long bass tones. Plenty of high and midtones as well. I'm not an audio expert, so the song may not be ideal, but it sure as hell shows a difference between good and bad systems. What do you use to test systems? Please post mp3's if possible. I can host them if you are unable to. Critiques welcome.

Re: Post your music for system testing.
I would rather test an audio system with a commercially made CD rather than an mp3 file. Mp3 files vary substantially in quality and the audio system you are testing might end up getting blamed for distortion and/or equalization problems caused by a poor quality mp3 file.

I used VBR encoding with 192 being the lowest the bit rate is allowed to drop to. I didn't filter any frequencies the human ear can't hear, and left channel and right channel are on seperate tracks unlike joint stereo mode. High quality mp3. I assume everyone would also make sure they use high quality settings. It's just to get an idea of what everyone is using.

Here is a song by NIN, no words, just music... I cant wait to try it out on my G35 which I will be buying this week (Silver or Black?!?!?!) if I don't attach correctly, my bad

I ove techno, rock, top 40... but I have to say that a great way to test the quality of a sound system is classical music. Sure, I llike classical as well but to test a system's highs and lows, put in a classical music CD and blare it. Sure, you may not be what you listen to, but it'll get all the tones you're looking to test.

Some people say Infiniti's are for old people. I'm not going argue. I just step on my gas pedal.
