I test drove an auto that had RDS. I bought a 6 speed with premium, aero, sirius. Do I have RDS? If so how do i use it?

 

Yes you do it's part of the premium pkg... check the owners manual for how to use. We only have 3 or 4 RDS stations in our area so I rarely use it to the full extent so someoneelse may be able to help you out better if the owners manual doesn't give you the answer.

what's RDS?

 

Not sure what it stands for but it identifies the station and song title/artist thats currently playing. It displays it across the Bose screen. I'm near Chicago so almost every station does it for me.

I think that stands for radio Digital Signal or something like that... You can have the Radio search for stations by genre based on the digital signal that the station produces. Works really well in major metropolitan areas that have a lot of radio stations sending RDS signals.

When I first bought the car (Jan 03) I had one station show up. Now, all of my presets show up.

 

Yeah it just depends on the stations in your area, and if you listen to any of them. There are only a few in my area that I actually listen to that have it.
