I can't for the life of me figure out how to remove it... and I've tried searching here. I can only seem to come up with the AT shifter **** removal. I've tried pulling up, down, left, right, lol any direction and I can't get it off? Any advice? Would be easier to install this HU with that piece of the console out of the way rather than pulled to the side.

 

It has threadlock on it. You simply have to break it free. It's a b1tch though.

 

LOL I feel like a retard now... that's the only way I didn't try to get that thing off. I have replaced shifters before too so I should have realized that LOL. Anyhoo, thanks bud!
