There is a lot of room below the window switches.

Not a good idea

Mounting the crossovers in the doors do eliminate the need to run more wires (which can be labor intensive in the G35). However it's not the greatest idea. Crossovers can be sensitive devices and opening and closing your doors puts alot of shock on these things. Mounting it under the dash will provide it with a stable area that isnt effected by heavy vibration of closing your doors all the time. Especially when we have really heavy doors (coupe model).

Mine are in the big indentation towards the rear part of the door. I had to cut out a little bit of the armrest foam.

I think those are Alpine Type X components. How do you like the Type X's rob?

I put my big a$$ Boston crossovers inside the door.

they are the SPX-17REF component set.

so far I really like them alot, the tweeter is very nice. Its like sex, definatly one of the best I've ever heard.

I can't give a full review yet because of the anoying vibrations that now occur since I have speakers that can produce a more full spectrum of sound.

I still have a cleansweep and JL audio amp to install along with dynamat. I also plan on building some kind of boxes for the rear speakers since they are mounted horribly, and sound like crap.
