Have you already ruled out the battery and starter as the cause of the problem?
If you're sure it's the alternator, you're looking at about $345 (MSRP) for a new OEM one. You can buy one online for $250 but a dealer probably isn't going to discount it that much. Or, you can get a remanufactured one from your local parts store for around $170.
Alternators aren't that difficult to install. I would think a dealer could do the job in an hour or two and the bill would be close to $500. If you do it yourself, you're looking at half that if you buy online.

so Im going to give my battery a check tmr. and I found that when i turn my ignition to ON, there's lights on my dash, but weak, and sometimes blink a little. can that be the alternator then? I'm so stressed out....
It's more likely your battery than your alternator. Get it tested.
Last I checked, there are no bolt-on aftermarket high-powered alternators for the G. Custom made only.

If it's not and if you're not running any extra electrical equpiment like an audio setup, then you don't need more amperage, it's just not necessary. Even with an audio setup, if it's nothing crazying, like 1,000w or less, generally the stock alternator will be fine with an upgraded battery. But if you're running thousands of watts, and I mean actual RMS and true ratings, not what Audiobahn states, then yeah, a beefier alternator with more amperage is recommended. But I don't see someone running that much power because the trunk, even in the sedan is not that large, they're decent.

Honestly, I don't think you need an upgraded alt with that little power. If the Odyssey PC1200 if it's not much more than the Optima. Optimas are good batteries, though I haven't used them. I love the Odyssey, great daily battery. People recommend Kinetik but those are better used for when using the audio system while the vehicle is off. Yellow top itself will be fine. Do the big 3 as well (not sure if I mentioned it earlier).
