FYI

I've managed to get a pre-release version of the firmware upgrade for the KCA-BT200. Installed it last night on my DNX8120 and it works like a charm. Can drag the zip onto a USB thumb drive or do it over the bluetooth connection. My Verizon pearl 8130 pairs without a problem, transfers my phonebook, and have made 5 calls so far with crystal clear sound on both ends. Finally!

There isn't a link yet since it's a pre-release beta version but if you PM me with your email address I will forward the files to ya.

Got the same pairing issue with my Blackberry and DDX812. I'm using a temporary fix on it now which pairs the two but doesnt transfer phonebook automatically... hopefully the official version comes out soon....

I heard if this is done wrong the entire unit has to be sent in and reprogrammed by the factory. My blackberry wont work either. I want to try it but god forbid if something went wrong.

G35man04 found your HU and you phone... the original link I provided was for my DDX812 and my Blackberry which fell under the Group A firmware upgrade. I believe yours is the Group G firmware upgrade. Start from this link...

Sorry Naughty... didn't see your Treo under the list... might wanna call Kenwood directly to see which group you fall under...

Does the system work smoothly? I'm thinking about getting the BT200 for my 7100.
Any complains or compliments on the component?
Is the install a easy?
