I know this has been discussed to death, I have searched and there isn't really a clear answer.

What I would like to know is with the Factory Ipod kit or even the USA Spec Adapter, can you answer calls while your IPOD 3G is playing music?

IE) Mutes Music, Rings phone, Talk over OEM bluetooth.

Some say that you can, some say that you cant?

Can someone please confirm?

No you cannot play music while recieving calls on the iphone. It stops playing music.

 

Thats fine, that is actually what i want it to do.

When a call comes in ring to the OEM bluetooth so I can speak, and when the call is done. The music returns.

I just want to confirm this is how it will function?

 

yes when you receive a call it pauses the music. when you hang up the music continues

 

Yes, I second what he is saying. I have the spec.dock ashtray dock for it, and it does mute the music when a call comes in, whether it's on bluetooth or not. So if a call comes in, even if you don't want it to go through bluetooth, you can pick up the phone and talk, and once the call ends, the music comes back. If you don't use bluetooth, the phone sound still does NOT go through the factory system.
