An navi Questios please answer

Ok i (My friend) have an 2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe it has that prem. Bose system and nav this is what i am planing to do.

Gut the whole bose system, Headunit, and wires and speakers.

Then run all new 8 guage wires for the speakers Install sub system and kill the 6x9's also install an aftermarket Headunit

My question is, Would removing The Stock/oem/factroy headunit render the The nav system usless??

If you can do this please Refer me to the correct guides and/or wiring diagrams.

Also Pannel removsl guides would be helpful I do no what i doming but this never hurts??

Also thanks for For reading my post

I always do this but have any of you guys or heard of 04-06 Ponatic Gto?? if you put a g into supesion and do a little lipo you can have a killer car This cars Comes standar with 400Hp And 400ft/pounds of torque at the flywell and 375-365 at the wheels add 400 for a better cam and you can darn near 390 with a computer tune an killer drag car sound and you can get all of this less than19-22 k (you can easily get an 04 fo 13,000{but these have ans ls1 enginge which make 350 at the fly})

05-06 go 16-18 g's which is really good price for the power and the build quality let be hones the japs arent known for quality of INTERIOR AND BODY PANNELS

If you have guessed i own an one, an 05 Blue with blue leather and a 6 speed which i love because i can do 60mph @ 1700 rpm becasue of that that torque and freeway millage of 25-26 usally but i once 33 going to Atl from chicago reall strai and no traffic

I have no idea what the GTO post has to do with audio, nor do I think anyone will convert to get a GTO.

Anyhow, what is the purpose of running 8 gauge wire? You're not going to see an improvement and it's not wortht he hassle. I ran 16 gauge in my previous setup and didn't notice andy difference between 12 gauge and 16 gauge. Bigger or thicker wire doesn't always mean it's better. The gauges are there for specific amperage that is drawn. Also, the larger wire you go, the less resistance there is, which is good, but there is overkill. You can go with 12 gauge but make sure you can fit those through all the panels and whatnot (not sure how many wires you will feed through there). You are not going to gain anything by going with 8 gauge...that is even overkill for subwoofers.

If you're wanting your setup to sound good or better, get better speakers, amps, HU, or any other equipment. Wire is not going to make anything sound better if the length, strand count, and metal used are the same. And don't buy into that pure silver wire. If buying expensive wire made out of pure silver is going to make you feel better, I guess go for it, but you won't notice an improvement.
