The shifter uses signal interferers located at the front and the rear of the car hidden inside the bumpers. It shifts the laser so the cop can't get a reading on how fast you're going. There is a member who has installed this combination on his car on these forums in that link. I'm not a believer in just radar detectors because I think my eyes are a better weapon...but here it is for me

escort 9500ci > eyes > escort 9500i > v1 ....only because the V1 is too damn sensitive

uga, sounds pretty sweet. wonder what that whole setup costs. where i'm at, rural hickville, there's not much laser use.

 

they usually allow like 5-10 above speed limit. but I'd say get a radar detector just in case but that doesnt mean u can let your guard down.

i think i remember the whole setup going for 1500-2000...i heard the install is what kills most ppl's wallets...i think install can be roughly anywhere from 500-1000, ouch...however, after i did the injen cai install, i don't think this laser shifter install would be too difficult
