I tried to measure it but I don't have a measuring tape here! (the finger method kinda sucks, lol) Anyways.. does anyone have a cd changer under the passenger seat? I used to have one in my Sentra, but I don't know if the clearance is the same. I see you can't raise/lower the passenger seat, just slide it forward and the back of the seat.

Opinions? I have the Alpine CHA-S634 changer by the way and its dimensions are:
10-1/16"W (12-3/8" with bracket) x 2-1/2"H x 6-3/8"D


Will it fit?

oh well.. it won't fit There's some weird piping located under the passenger seat that prevents it from fitting. Anyone have any clue what piping that is?

I never really looked under there so I'm not sure. Does the seat have its own electric heater or does it take heat from the system heater? If it doesn't have its own heater I would guess the tubing is for that. Going to go sneak a peak at it now.

thanks dude.. I see that it doesn't fit completely behind the floor mat... since the piping for the AC is under that seat. Oh well, it's cool, I'm having mine mounted in the trunk on the side, it's going to look pretty sweet.

That plastic piping is some kinda airflow divider. I took mine out to fit my ac/dc inverter. It is actually a two piece set. If you pull toward the back of your car, the plastic attachment that divides the airflow comes off. This will give you a good 4 or 5 inches of extra room.
