Well I recently got an IPHONE 3g and and contemplating on getting the USA - SPEC as I will be adding the TV and Nav 2 go as well.

What I would like is the ability to play music and control the iphone music from my steering wheel controls and also be able to answer calls from the iphone via OEM bluetooth.

Will the USA-Spec fit my needs?

I had previously read that the iphone would have to be in direct mode in order to answer calls, because in playlist/hybrid mode it goes into airplane mode?

Can anyone confirm.

the only problem with the USA-Spec is that it won't charge the iphone 3g. Because they eliminated the 12volt charging wire on the new iphone, the rest of the function works, just wont charge.
