08 G35 Sedan Electrical Problems

08 G35 Sedan Electrical Problems
Hey all 
I just joined the club and purchased an 08 Sedan Sport on thursday.
Yesterday, My AC was off, had my NAV/Radio operating. I was driving out to LA and I hear a few clicks. My NAV/Radio turns off and I have ZERO control over over it. My AC turns on and is fully blasted. ZERO CONTROL over my center console. I took it into Servicing today and they tell me they need to replace the unit.
and will take about 1 week.
Anyone else have this issue?

that is seemlingly unacceptable for an 08 to already be defective....doc
